Visualization on the European scale

Urban planning end-users will, as part of SUDPLAN’s training objective, be able to display and export information from all over Europe.

Common Services includes links to databases with European scale grids or polygons of precipitation, temperature, runoff, soil moisture and a number of air pollutants, simulated in response to different climate scenarios. These databases give input to the urban downscaling.

As part of Common Services, users can visualize the spatial distribution and the temporal evolution of the variables over Europe. Time series data from selected locations can be presented in graphs and exported.

Example of visualization on the European scale
Mean summer temperatures 2071-2100 from SMHI’s RCA model, driven by two different global models.
